If you are traveling through Ecuador, it is inevitable that you will make your way through the adventure town of Baños. What this town lacks in size of population (only 20,000 in habitants), it more than makes up for it in the crazy activities you can do. From "Puenting" (bridge jumping) to rafting to zip lining over waterfalls, Baños is the perfect place to get your adrenaline fix.
I was lucky enough to land a marketing job at Casa Hood (Thanks so much, Ray!) and live in Baños for a month and a half. It was nice to settle somewhere and develop a bit of a routine after traveling for two months straight. My favorite part of my routine was getting back to the gym. I searched the town and while it has a fair amount of places to grab a pump, my favorite was D'Tauros. Starting at $25 for a whole month of machines, both lifting and cardio, the membership was a steal. If you are only in town for a day or two, you can pick up a day pass for $1.50. Inside the equipment is well maintained, but a little crowded together so I would recommend going early so you can enjoy the whole gym to yourself. That being said the gym has everything you could ever need for any workout. The staff does a really nice job keeping the place clean and they have a water jug so you can fill up your water since you do not want to drink the tap water in Ecuador... Overall, I would highly recommend D'Tauros to anyone looking to workout in Baños. Below is a leg workout I did at D'Tauros and named in honor of Baños' most famous waterfall, Pailon Del Diablo:

Warmup:
Foam roll (if possible)
Static stretching (hamstring, quad stretching)
Dynamic stretching (walking lunges, air squats, sun salutations)
Workout:
Back squats 35,30,25,20,15,10
Superset leg extension and hamstring extension 35,30,25,20,15,10 and reverse
Leg press 35,30,25,20,15,10 and reverse
Hack Squat 35,30,25,20,15,10 ONLY
Walking barbell lunges 3 complete trips back and forth
Calf raises 35,30,25,20,15,10 and reverse
Use weight that feels right or no weight at all. This is a mentally crazy hard workout solace yourself and get ready to be hungry every second of the day after this workout with all the energy you are using 💪
Post workout:
